The role of the Advisory Board member is to offer advice, not govern or administer programs or activities of the senior center. The Eddie Dee Smith Senior Center Advisory Board is organized for members to serve in an advisory capacity as representatives of their peers, to the Director of the Senior Center. Board members are to address the needs through programs and activities at the Eddie Dee Smith Senior Center Senior Citizens, (60 years and older), through programs and activities at the center by voicing concerns, offering suggestions and presenting opinions. Board members should perform as volunteers at the center. There is no momentary compensation for their service.
